Used primarily for critical carburized parts subject to rigid magnetic particle inspection standards requiring high minimum core hardness with wide range in sections 9.52 mm and under in nominal thickness, but usage is not limited to such applications. The core may or may not be machinable after hardening.
Used typically as filler metal for gas-metal-arc or gas-tungsten-arc welding of steels of similar composition where the weld area is required to have strength and toughness comparable to those of the parent metal, but usage is not limited to such applications.
